Baking Corner with Miss Eastmead
Hello and welcome back to Baking Corner with Miss Eastmead. We hope you all had a restful and safe half term, and managed to have some fun!
This week we have a delicious sweet recipe for those of you with a sweet tooth... Smarties cookies!
It's always nice to treat yourself from time to time, and baking cookies is a fun and simple recipe to follow, and who doesn't love a good cookie? I don't think I've ever met anyone who actually dislikes cookies. I'm sure there are people who don't, but I'm yet to meet one!

Don't they look yummy? These are the ones that Miss Eastmead made herself, and below you can check out the straight forward recipe she's written for you. If you have any dietary requirements or allergies, there are easy ways around this. For example, if you are vegan or lactose intolerant, you can replace the milk with any plant based milk (my favourite is oat milk!) which is longlife and inexpensive. You can also replace eggs with mashed banana or actual egg replacer. Have a look here to see the other ways you can replace them. There are also loads of dairy free spreads you can use. Flora do a vegan spread, and there are loads of others. Of course, Smarties themselves have milk in them, so you could use Skittles instead, which are suitable for vegans and those with allergies.
Don't forget you can also add other ingredients as well, like chocolate chunks or raisins if you like. Get creative!
Enjoy!
