Miss Robson

Br

I have worked with pupils with SEMH needs for almost thirty years after starting my career in a mainstream primary school. I began working in Lincoln at Athena School in 2003 when it opened and have gone on to develop the Fortuna/Athena Federation in 2015. I feel very lucky to be able to do the job I do and to work with the most amazing staff team and of course fantastic pupils. I endeavour to give all pupils the opportunity to feel valued for who they are and give them the experiences and education to enable them to have choices of who they would like to be.

When you join the Fortuna/Athena Federation whatever your role, you become part of a huge family who offer care, support and love to all.

Miss Bunn - Head of School

Mb

I have worked in SEMH provision in Lincolnshire since 2003. I feel passionate about providing pupils with a positive nurturing environment, secure attachment and a creative immersive curriculum. This is with a view to ensuring pupils have all the ingredients they need to set them up to be well rounded individuals, with positive contributions to make to society and most importantly be able to lead a happy and fulfilled life.

Mrs West - Assistant Headteacher, main building

Zoe West Assistant Headteacher

Although initially training in Primary education I found I had a real passion for working with children within the SEMH spectrum. I moved into SEMH provision in 2006 and never looked back. Specialising in Maths, I enjoyed engaging pupils in learning through ensuring a safe environment where pupils feel able to celebrate their successes and develop their thirst for understanding. I feel privileged to work in a school where every pupil is valued and appreciated for what they bring to the school family.

Mr Mills - Assistant Headteacher, main building

Chris Mills Assistant Headteacher

From the start of my career I have had a real passion for working with children within the SEMH spectrum. I believe that all children should achieve their very best and I strongly believe a safe environment is key to this. Pupils should be able to celebrate their successes and want to learn. My specialities are Home Cooking, Maths and Travel and Tourism. I feel grateful to work in a school where every pupil is heard and valued.
My role within school is to assess and support teachers with the individual academic targets and needs of pupils so they can reach their full potential. I also support staff in their first few years of teaching and lead KS4.

Miss Trought - Assistant Headteacher, annexe

Hannah trought assistant head teacher

I have worked with children with SEMH needs for a very long time and I enjoy seeing the progress they make. I specialised in English, specifically teaching GCSE but now I work with Key Stage 3, ensuring they are all safe, happy and enjoying their learning. I strongly believe that the provision Athena provides is key to the development of our children and I love to celebrate their achievements with them.

Miss Brown - Assistant Headteacher, annexe

Rosemary brown assistant head teacher

I have worked within the SEMH provision for over 10 years, beginning my journey at Fortuna School, our SEMH Federated Primary School. From the moment I walked into Fortuna, I was met with a calming, safe and welcoming atmosphere, the same ethos of which has been brought to Athena School. One of the things I love most about teaching is watching the students achieve and build the confidence to be inquisitive, independent learners through the support of our nurturing ethos. At Athena, I wear many hats, overseeing and continuing to build our curriculum, teaching, leading science and music, all the while supporting the staff and students within the Annexe Building alongside Miss Trought. I am proud to be a part of the Athena-Fortuna Federation and look forward to many more years to come.
