The Instrument of Government (Updated in Academic Year 2020-2021) states that the Governing Body shall consist of 12 Governors as follows: 2 Parent Governors , 1 Headteacher, 1 Staff Governor, 1 Local Authority Governor*, and 7 Co-opted Governors. All Governors’ terms of office are 4 years. Vacancies in September 2023 – One parent Governor and three Co-opted Governors

* The LocaL Authority Governor is nominated by the Local Authority, Parent Governors are elected by the parent body and Staff Governors are elected by the staff body of the school.

All Governors’ terms of office are 4 years.

The Governing Body has appointed two Associate Governors. Their appointment is considered annually. Associate Governors may vote on committees, but not in Full Governing Body meetings.

The Governing Body appointed a Pay Panel in October 2020 and is reviewed annually, most recently in September 20235/ – This meets as directed by the ratified Pay Policy.

The Governing Body has also appointed the Head Teacher’s Performance Management panel which makes a recommendation to the Pay Committee regarding Head Teacher’s pay decision

Other appeals committees will be appointed as and when required.

The Full Governing Body ratifies decisions following recommendation from the committees/panel above, and all minutes are available by request made to the school office with the exception of confidential minutes.

Our school was approached by Sleaford Police station, asking us if we could produce a mural to promote Knife awareness week.
